The Wyatt PTA Communications team realizes what a challenge keeping parents updated on all activities can be. Our goal is to keep families informed of school and PTA activities and events in hopes of gaining increased participation and support from them.
Our team wants to help make your PTA job easier. We're here to help share your information, event or announcement with Wyatt and the Plano community. The following briefly describes the resources available to you this year as you plan your activities and events. You'll receive updated and more detailed deadlines as they become available.
Website - As parents adjust to a paperless world, we will all begin relying more and more on the Wyatt PTA website. Information will include everything from general PTA and Wyatt facts, the PTA calendar, weekly updates, monthly newsletter postings, downloadable forms, and links to district websites. The website will be updated with the latest information every Friday.
Wyatt/PTA eNews - Weekly updates on Thursdays will continue via eNews. As you may know, eNews is a no-cost service offered by PISD and available to you by subscribing. You are able to receive updates from Wyatt Elementary and Wyatt PTA all in one email. Make sure you have subscribed so you don't miss any updates! Sign up now for eNews.
Newsletter - The Roo Review is normally published on a monthly basis and distributed on the dates you see included here. This year however, we are going to begin our transition to "Wyatt going GREEN!" The newsletters will be published on a quarterly basis and all other information will be available through YO (youngest only) packets and eNews.
YO Packets - This year, parents will be given the option of continuing to receive paper copies of the YO packets each Thursday or accessing the YO packet on the Wyatt PTA website. The eNews is also sent via email on Thursdays and will have a direct link for you to access the YO packet. A flyer will be sent home in August allowing you to choose how you would like to receive your YO packet.
Publicity - Wyatt PTA submits press release information to local news media on events and happenings at Wyatt. The information shares with the community a sample of the activities in which our children participate. We are open to your suggestions on specific events in which you are involved. Be thinking if you have anything you'd like covered.
Marquee - The exterior sign at Wyatt can post information on upcoming events, deadlines, honors, and more.
